Story board sketching

Today in class, we drew our story board, which is the sketch of what we're filming. I am going take videos of the technology building, new store, and the band. I chose them because they are interesting and fun. I think it will be entertaining. We couldn't take the videos today, because the weather wasn't good but I hope the weather gets better next time. I think this project is also entertaining and fun. I'll have to try my best and make a great scene in the video.

The video about school

After, finally, finishing the "how to create an IR pen" video, we started a new project. Our next project will be making a a video that is like a documentary video of this school. Me, Gabriel, Jaime, and Ramon saw the video, and we were astonished at the greatness of the video that was done in 2006. It was like a documentary video that you would see in TV.
Im a little concerned if I can do well on it. However, we have to create a sketch of our scenesfirst, which I'm about to do right now. I hope that me, Gbriel, Jaime, and Ramon can do a great team work. It's our second big project and I hope I can do well on it.

How to create a IR pen edited

Today in class, I worked on my how to video. This time, I added a adobe flash file, that was converted into a movie file, into the adobe premier. It was creative. I am almost done with my video, and I expect that it'll be a great work, and I hope that I can finish it soon. I think that Adobe Premier is a fun thing to work on, because I can make the video however I want. I'm expecting a great work.

Making the "How to make a IR pen" video

Today in class, we used the Adobe Premier to put the videos of "how to make a IR pen" together and edit the videos. While we were making the IR pen, we were filming our process, so that we could make a how to video. In my video, I divided the video in to steps, like step 1, step 2, and step 3. I think it's a good way to review what we did in out project, and to share with other people. Gabriel and I are trying to make a very cool video, so I think the videos will be great when they're done.

Working on Adobe Premier

Today, we started to work on Adobe Premier again. I worked on my video of car racing. I tried to backward my car motion, but it was impossible. I forgot many skills and tools of Adobe Premier while I was working on the IR light pen. Ms.Norman and I, worked on forwarding the video motion instead, and we found the video to learn the skill. I am planning to go to atomic learning and study more about Adobe Premier skills. I think it is a fun project and I'll have fun making the video.

The research of wii remote use

Today in class, I found additional uses of the wii remote controller. I found that wii remote can be used as music instruments as guitar and drum. I found other many uses, and I have to collect more for my essay. While preparing my essay, I founded out the uses of wii remote that are not none, and I think it's a great chance by writing the essay to know about our modern technology.

Today, during the class, we researched about what we could do with the wii remote. I founded out that the wii remote is also used in the military manipulating ultrasound images and monitoring movement deficiencies in people with Parkinson's disease, which is a new information. I also saw manipulating a robot arm with a wii remote. The reason we were researching where wii remotes were used was because, we have to write a essay of how and where can this WiiMote be used in the business/education world. Untill now, I discovered that wii remote is not just a simple controller of a video game and that it could be used very usefully in our life.

Multi-touch white board project

Today, we tested the light pen and the multi-touch white board by playing chess. The project was successful. Me and Gabriel were filming ourselves playing chess, and when the other class came in to use the computer, they were all surprised at our project. I was very pleased of doing this project. I hope we do a lot of this kind of projects from now on. I had a very satisfying cycle doing this project. Later, if I have a chance, I'll try to set up the multi-touch white board in my house.

Light pen done!

Today, we experimented the multi-whiteboard with the IR pen. It was successfull. I played mine sweeper and solitare. It was ver~~~y cool~~~. I'm gonna try to make one at home and now I only need to film the process of connecting the wires. I like PT classes so much nowadays.

Today in class, I finally finished my second light pen, but I had a little problem of my momentary switch. It kept poping out of the hole, so I'm thinking to super glue it later. After finishing my pen, I helped Jaime to finish his. He massed it up, so it was hard to fix it. At the end of the class, I almost finished Jaime's pen. I got use to the wires now, and it's pretty fun to make a light pen now. I can't wait untill I get to use the multi-touch whiteboard.

How to creat a IR pen

Today in class, we got all the materials for the IR pen, which are 1 momentary switch, 1 wire to connect the pen with the battery pack, 1 spring made of coil, AAA bateries, and a sharpy pen. During the class, we made a how to video, about how to creat a IR pen for the multi-touch whiteboard. We recorded the video in 3 steps, the introduction, showing the materials that we need for this project, and taking the guts out of the pen and making a hole in it. It was harder than what I thought to make a video, because my friend was keep laughing when he recorded me. By the next class, we will have to continue recording the video. (Their are 3 more steps left.) It is harder than what I thought, to get the sharpy pens. I'll go to a papeleria and try to find one. Today I bought 2 wrong pens and brought 1 wrong pen.

Adobe Premier & the light pen

Finally, the LEDs that Ms. Norman ordered had arrived, and she told us that she was going to supply them to us with the switch buttons. We went to the instructables page and looked up for the materials that we needed to make the light pen. By monday, we have to go to school with the materials which are AAA batteries and 2 sharpy pens. During the class, we practiced Adobe Premier, editing videos. For the big project, I am planning to make a very funny comedy video editing and cutting movies. After writing my blog, I will go to the supermarket to buy the AAA batteries. I am very excited to make the light pen on Monday.

Share informations about adobe premier

Today in class, we gathered and shared what we learned about Adobe Premier until now through Atomic Learning and youtube. First, jbou(can't remember his name.) volunteered and showed us how to cut a video using in and out. Then I showed how to mark marks on the video. At the end, I also showed how to put a countdown in the beginning of the video which was cool. I learned a lot easily by sharing informations with the class. I think when I make my video, it will look fantastic.

Premier Atomic Learning

Today, I saw the videos that tought me about adobe premier in a site called Atomic Learning. I saw every videos in part C through E. I learned many useful tools or options like renaming the video files in the library, marking marks in videos, and using tools and bars. It helped me learning a lot, and now I'm planning to make a funny video editing and cutting many movies.

Adobe Premier

Last class, we moved on to Adobe Premier, which is a software that is useful at handling videos. Today in class, I combined the video with a sound and learned how to put two different sounds at once. The tools were similar to the ones we used in Adobe Flash and Illustrator, but still I had no idea of some of them.

I'm excited of the LEDs that Ms.Norman ordered which soon will come and we might start working on smart board project.

Making a pencil in Adobe illustrator

Today in class, we continued to work on Adobe illustrator and I learned to use the smart guide to locate the shapes. I made parts of pencil like wood, metal bands, and lead. Then I located the pieces using the smart guide. It looked pretty good at the end. My problem is, I take too long to read the instruction of the package. Next time, I hope we study with instructions that are more easy to understand. And I also hope, we move on and work on the smart board project, because I don't like following so much instructions.

Adobe Illustrator

Today we helped the elementry teacher to make a list of computer names and codes. I also learned how to hide objects in the Adobe Illustrator. If an object is hided, it can't be selected and it goes to the back. During the class, Ms. Norman told us that she's going to order the LEDs. By the next class, I hope we start working on light pens by the next class.

Cheap smartboard

Today, I learned how to make a cheap smartboard by using cheap materials. I liked it alot because we always worked on softwares using the computer but this time, we will actually make and invent without using the computer. We watched a youtube video that explained us how to make a smartboard. It was interesting because we could make a smartboard with cheap materials like wii remote control, light pen, bluetooth, and etc. I hope I could have one of those in my room when I make one.
In PT2 class, I would like to learn how to program softwares and games. It might be interesting if we make a software and use it.
